Now that Pepa and Mema have their book (congrats Pepa!), it is probably safe to post these online. Thanks a bunch to Dan and Julie for snapping our pics!
Only 2 weeks in, and we’re already skipping class! We took off this morning in our big yellow buses down to Indy to visit the State Fair. We walked around and saw all sorts of animals and exhibits, but my favorite was the Japan Exhibition. Everyone was wearing beautiful kimonos and they even wrote my name in Japanese.
Our next field trip isn’t for a while, but it is to the Children’s Museum. Really? That is like a regular Mommy-is-busy-we’re-hanging-with-Daddy weekend trip! Come on, let’s go to somewhere with sand and surf!
Today I started 2nd grade! It’s hard to believe since I feel like we just got out of school for summer vacation!?! Mrs. Shelby is my teacher and there are 32 kids in my class. Yep. 32. Momma made a frowny face about that, but I told her it would be okay since I have lots of friends in my class. It was kind of business as usual since this is my 3rd first day of school. I did learn that we have a class pet…a taranchula! We only get one recess this year, no snack time, and a spelling test and homework on the first day. I do get to go on my first field trip next Friday. We are going to the State Fair! I’m pretty excited about that, and I’ll let you know how it goes! Night all. 179 days to go!
