Party time! Excellent!
Friday started off on the right foot…I didn’t have school! I got to spend all day with Parker and Gigi on Gigi Friday, which is the first time in a while. We made the most of it by taking a special trip to see the brand new Shrek movie in 3D. It was very funny and Parker and I liked it a lot. Then, we came home and hung out until Daddy got home and we kicked off the next chapter of the evening. Parker went up to Lafayette with Gigi, but Daddy drove me over to Summer’s Birthday Party! She is my friend from school and came to my birthday, so it was cool to go to her birthday party too. I didn’t get to stay for long, though, because Daddy picked me up and we headed North to Lafayette for Phase III…more Shrek! Aunt Carrie won a fancy Shrek party from McDonalds, complete with enough nuggets to choke an Ogre. We played with Riley and Taylor while the parent-folks hung out and chatted about chicken and sauces. It was so late when we left that it was almost tomorrow, so Parks and I both fell asleep in the car and were cashed out all the way home.
Thanks for the movie, Gigi, and for inviting us to the Shrek party, Lafayette Lawsons!
We woke up on Saturday and headed downstairs, ready for our usual ritual of watching Disney Channel and getting snacks while Mommy and Daddy snoozed. However, Mommy and Daddy were already gone! Mema and Pepa were there, instead, and told us that Mommy and Daddy had already left to go running. It didn’t take us long to convince Mema and Pepa that we should probably discuss this over some Gibby’s donuts, so we packed in and drove down to show them the ropes. After putting away our fair share of sugar snacks, we headed north to Lafayette to hang out at Mema and Pepa’s house for the day. We had fun playing, crafting, and of course…eating! We even got to hang out and meet our new cousin, Baby Mitchell, for the first time! I said that we should call him Little Peanut but Parker likes saying Baby Mitchell.
On Sunday, we geared up for Round 2 of the Weekend Adventures. We had to run a few errands in the morning, but the day’s main event was a Mother’s Day/Birthday Party at Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata’s house. We pigged out on cheese, hot dogs, crackers, and cupcakes in between playing in the yard with Riley and Taylor. The girls even took a trip on our bikes down to the park while Parker stayed back and worked on perfecting his golf swing. Everyone was pretty zonked by the time we hit the road back to Lebanon, so it was straight to bath and bed to rest up for the week ahead.
Thanks to Mema and Pepa for hanging with us on Saturday and to Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata for hosting us on Sunday…we had a lot of fun with everyone!
So, as many of my loyal followers have noticed, I have not posted since Spring Break. I guess we are all just having a hard time adjusting to real life again. So here’s what’s been going on here in Lebtucky.
On the Saturday after we returned from vacation we met up with Aunt Carrie, Uncle Manata, Riley, and Taylor at our annual Race for the Cure one mile family walk. We raced and we won…at least that’s what they told us! After the race, Aunt Carrie had the great idea of all of us going to the Indy Zoo. It was so fun! We got to see the dolphin show, play on the playground, and just all around hang out with my family. It was a great afternoon. To finish off the day, we made a quick run up to see Baby Mitchell at St. V (to us that means hang in the waiting room, but that’s okay). All was going well there, so back home to Lebanon.
The next day, we celebrated Gigi and Mada’s birthday at Gigi’s house that we missed while we were gone on vay-cay.
Last Monday, Daddy was in Chicago, so Mema and Pepa picked Parks and I up until Momma got home from work. We had lots of fun hanging out with them. Thanks, Mema and Pepa! See you soon when Momma and Daddy run the Mini next weekend!
On Tuesday night, I had my first art class after school. IT WAS SO FUN! I got to make a clay pot that I’ll get to take home pretty soon.
On to the present. On Saturday morning, Gigi came down and picked up Parks and me and we headed to Gibby’s before going up to Lafayette to spend the day at the health fair! Again, another awesome day! There was face painting, snacks, free bike helmets, rides on the Boilermaker Special, pizza, check ups…all this with Parker, Riley, and Taylor by my side! When Parks wasn’t feeling well, Poppa took him back their house, and I got to go over to Aunt Carrie’s and play with my cousins. It was super cool to spend time with them! Thanks to Aunt Carrie, Gigi, and Poppa for such a fun day at the health fair! Who knew being healthy could be so much fun! Make sure to head over Parker’s site to hear the continuation of our weekend!
