Just wanted to wish Aunt Carrie good luck tomorrow!
Also, congratulations to Aunt Renee and Uncle TC on the purchase of their new house! I hear they have a playground not too far away from their pad. Time to schedule a playdate, Uncle TC!
Today started out pretty lazy…we rolled out of bed and hung around watching TV and playing. That lasted until about 2 when Mommy became unbearably fidgety and needed to get out of the house. So, we quick loaded the car and jumped on 32 towards Nicholson. It didn’t take long before we arrived at her classroom and started tearing in all of the super fun stuff…markers, blocks, chalk, paper, scissors, etc. After we made a mess of the room, Daddy thought it may be better if we head on down to the gym to use up some of that energy. We totally need a gym at our house! They had basketballs, beach balls, scooters, frisbees, and all sort of other things to jump on and play with. About an hour passed before Mommy came down to wrap up the fun and move us on to the next destination. We packed in the car and, after a quick stop at Staples, ended up at Little Mexico for cheese quesadillas and chips on our way out of town. Bellies full and energy spent, Parker and I were pretty quiet on the ride home and didn’t really protest much when it was shower & bed time right as we walked in the door. Thanks for taking us to your school, Mommy…we can’t wait to go back to the gym again!
Friday is a big day anyway because my Gigi comes down to hang out in Lebanon for the day. She and Parker Parks chauffeured me to school in the little blue bug and picked me up after I was done with my learnin’ for the day. Gigi brought me home and we all played outside for a little while to kill a few minutes before Friday Fun Round 2…the Spring Carnival!
It was just Daddy and I trekking back down to Central to check out the festivities. We had a hard time parking because of all the fun-seekers, but we eventually made our way in to the school. Our first mission was to scout around and see what was going on. We checked out all of the different games and play areas before heading up to the front to get tickets so we could be active participants in the carnival. We headed straight back to the huge inflatable bounce house and obstacle course to burn through a few tickets, then off to the duck pond and lollipop tree where I won the first of my fabulous prizes for the evening. Back down to the other side to run through the silent auction and book fair to find the popcorn cart for some fuel. Then, back to the face painting when Mommy called…she and Parks decided to join us! They met up with us in the hall just as we ran in to Joy from Guardian Angel. Parker didn’t know what to make of all that…seeing her out of the day care threw him for a loop
Next up was the Bean Bag Toss, which Parker took a shot at too, for more fabulous prizes. Then, we went for a spin on the cake walk game. We didn’t end up winning any cupcakes or cookies, but we had fun jumping from number to number until the music stopped. After shuffling out that room, we made our way back over to the duck pond and lollipop tree again and spent a few more tickets. Finally, we split up and Mommy and Parks plucked a few more ducks while I gave the bounce house and obstacle course a few more go-arounds.
After all of that, you can imagine that we were all pretty pooped out. It was time to head back home and hit the hay because we had a lot more action in store for us through the remainder of the weekend! Check up on all of that activity over on Parker’s blog.
Just a few shots of our Easter Bunny loot from this morning, the egg hunt, and painting horses at the table.
