Tonight, we broke in to one of the presents we’ve been saving for a rainy day…my crystal growing kit! Mommy helped us get all of the ingredients out and carefully read the instructions. Parker chose to make some green crystals, but I wanted to make a red geode. Actually, Parker just ended up playing with water in the sink, but I’m sure he’ll love the crystals once they’re done.
It was a little crazy for a minute when some red dye spilled out of the bowl and got all over the counter top…that stuff can stain! But, Mommy and Daddy jumped on it right away and avoided disaster, and we quickly re-focused our efforts back to the mysterious geode. It will take a day or two for these things to really take off, but I’m sure it will be worth the wait. Check back for our results, but until there, here are a few quick shots of the creation process:
Have fun in FL, Gigi and Poppa! Please, please bring us back some sunshine!
I lost my first tooth today! It has been loose for quite a while, and it has been on its its last legs lately. Today, I was at Guardian Angel and Mrs. Michelle finally put it over the edge. She was wiggling the tooth, then took it and just yanked a little, and it popped right out! I drooled for 1/2 hour and it feels really funny when I run my tongue over where it used to be!
After bath time (where I squirted the squirt bottle right at the gap in my teeth…hehe), I put my first baby tooth in to a little pillow and left it on the night stand right next to my bed. I wonder if the tooth fairy is little like Tinkerbell?
And, for old time’s sake, here is a picture of that same tooth coming in!

Today was a pretty big day. It was the first day back to school in a long time. I was sad to have to go back because our family had so much fun over our long break. But, it was great to see all of my friends at school again and play with some new people. All day long, though, I told everyone that I was going to ballet class tonight! I was very excited all day and couldn’t wait to hop in to my pink skirt and prance and dance.
Daddy picked me up, but we left Parks at school for Mommy to pick up. Daddy and I headed home to change in to all of the pink clothes and get ready for ballet, including pulling my hair back in to a pony tail. Needless to say, Daddy really isn’t the most experienced person around in the hair category, but he did OK and got it handled. Then, we headed off to Lebanon Ballet School where we met up with Parker and Mommy. I think Parks thought I looked very pretty in my leotard!
We were a little early for class (better than 5 minutes late, right Poppa?) and watched the little girl class finish up before taking to the floor. My teach introduced the new students, and then we started right in to the exercises. We did lots of toe pointing and leg moving, but were able to throw in a few jumps too. The best part was when I got to lead the class to do skipping. We had to lift our knees really high, keep our toes pointy, and keep our hands on our hips…it was really hard!
