This is me all pumped up and ready to go to my first day of Kindergarten:

Just for the record, I had just as much fun on the 2nd day of school as I did the first. We had PE class where we ran and jumped, and it was a bunch of fun. Also, we did really cool activities in class and I had my first homework assignment. I have to practice typing in my secret code for the lunch line (corn dog today!). Let’s see what day 3 brings!

First, I had to sign it at BASE. Then, girls let me play Barbies with them and I saw Chloie who is Mrs. Michelle’s niece. I had a blueberry muffin for breakfast but I had eggs at home. I picked orange juice. And then I got to go to my room with a kid and I sat down and colored. I got to pick a table to sit at and I sat at the green table. Will sat at the purple table. J.C. and another little boy sat at my table.

You have to find your name on a magnet and put it on what you want to eat today. You can choose. I finded my name and put it on pizza. I got to type in a secret code at lunch.

And, do you know what? There is a smallest boy and I had him two times in partner match. I don’t really like him, he is small like a toddler.

And then, we read a book before partner match and it was Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. I liked it. And then, we got to play partner match. Do you know how you play it? You have a piece of green paper and you have to find the size that matches another. I had to find that boy 2 times in partner match.

Then, we got to read another book I think and do another craft. We practiced every A…lower and upper. First we had to write our names on the paper.

Daddy Note: Above is as dictated by MLee. I think the best quote of the day is when I picked her up and asked her how her day was and she said “It was awesome!” I have to admit, I was pretty choked up dropping her off this morning, but she didn’t even flinch. She was so excited to be there and it sounds like she had a great day. Mommy and I are so very proud of our big school girl!

Princesses-So last Wednesday, my friend Ellie called me up and invited me to a Beauty and the Beast show at the Vanity Theater in C’Ville. Wait-it gets better…we also got to dress up in princess gear, dude up our hair, makeup, and nails (thanks, Steve), and go on stage for, “Best Princess” contest! Neither of us won, but it was still fun and we got princess suckers. The play was VERY cool, and I loved every minute of it. We got home around 11:00 PM! Thanks, Ellie for fun Girls Night Out.

**Momma Note: We also ate at Johnny Provolone’s Pizza for dinner where the girls laughed and laughed at who knows what. Talk about making your heart smile. The best part was watching them fish the paper towel they used (no toilet paper) out of the toilet with plastic forks! Very princess-like. At the play, they girls sat on their seats upright so every so often during the show one of them would loose balance and come bouncing down with a loud thud.

Piercings-On Friday, Momma and I had a day out together to get my school supplies, go to Red Robbin for lunch (Yum!), buy some new tennis shoes…pink and black…and then…I did it. Momma had asked me for the 100th time, “Morgan, do you want to get your ears pierced today?” And much to her surprise, I said, “Yes! My brain is telling me yes!” Momma was taken a LOT off guard, but we found a Claire’s near Red Robin and went for it! I chose pink flower studs for my very first set of earrings. I won’t lie to you…it hurt…but not for long. I LOVE my new earrings!

**Momma Note-I had such a great day with Morgan. It was pretty cool to get to spend some one on one time with her before going off to kindergarten. My heart smiled when she said, “Today is my gladdest day ever!”

Poppa-On Friday we headed to Lafayette to visit Poppa in the hospital and ended up staying overnight at Mema’s house. After a weekend hospital stay, he’s back at home and feeling better. There are several tests to come for him, but don’t worry Poppa, I’ll be at school doing my tests, too! Wish us both luck!

Playgrounds-On Sunday afternoon, TC and Renee called me up and asked me to go to the State Fair with them! I’d never been there before, so I quickly accepted their invitation! I had SO MUCH FUN! I loved the little dioramas of different communities but my favorite part was watching a demonstration of what happens during a flood…ask me…I’ll tell you about it! I played on a playground with recycled tires for mulch, looked at tons of projects, and saw a cheese sculpture that weighed over 1,000 pounds! We hit the carnival games where I won a unicorn and a stuffed rose! TC and Renee also exposed me to all kinds of treats including two snow-cones (my first one just rolled off my cone and onto the ground after I stumbled), a strawberry milkshake, a ballerina tattoo, and a souvenir from our day together…a stuffed cat on a leash! I walked that cat all over the fairgrounds! We topped off our day with a 6 inch tuna sub from Subway! I finally hit the hay around 9:30. Thank you TC and Renee for a great day!

Penguins-Today was Daddy Daughter Day! Whoo-hoo! Daddy and I were going to go golfing and eat at Red Robbin (Yum!), but I decided to change things up on him…we hit the Indianapolis Zoo instead! When got there just as it opened, the sea lions grabbed our attention first with their very loud barking! The day played out with a complete once over and then twice over of the whole place! Daddy pet a shark…I did not! We saw the dolphin show, rode the carousel where I rode the best pony of the bunch, and I got a tiger tattoo on my arm to complete my airbrushed tattoo collection. We broke only for lunch when we went to the Dog in Suds in the zoo. I had a hot dog, but I kept the animal crackers for Parks. When the day was done, I told Daddy, “I wish this day would never end.”

**Daddy Note: Thanks, Morgan, for sharing a super special day with me!

Well, it is official. I’m no longer a preschooler…I’ve been called up to the big leagues! Thanks very much to everyone that came down and made my graduation so special.
