Okay, so the title will come in to play a little later, but first I need to tell you about our super fun day! To start things off, Daddy actually stayed home from work to hang out with us, which is great because between his golfing, and working late, and my long days at the pool with Mema, Momma, and Parks, we’ve been like two ships passing in the night…whatever that means. Anyway, to celebrate our glorious Family Day, did we stay home and relax you ask? NO! We hit the Children’s Museum! Now, I’m fully aware that Momma hates going to the museum, but I think today she had a lot of fun with us. We started off by visiting the Curious George exhibit (Poppa-make sure you check out the pictures of Parks golfing) where I made a pinwheel at the “wind farm.” From what I hear, if you travel up to Benton County where my Aunt Diana lives, you can actually see the real thing! Hold on to your unders!! Parks enjoyed the assembly line and mainly running around checking out everything.

From Curious George, we headed over to the Cartoon Network animation exhibit. It was pretty cool. Parks and Daddy made a stop action movie clip together, and I drew a picture of Bloo from some cartoon Momma can’t remember the name of right now. Everyone seemed to be getting a little hungry so we headed down to the food court for some pizza, oranges, mac n’ cheese, and breaksticks…lunch of champions! After everyone ate a “dino-sized” lunch, we thought it fitting to hit the Dinosaur exhibit. It was much less scary for me this time. We visited all the exhibits, dug for bones, threw around some dino eggs, and then headed to the….

TRAINS! CHOO-CHOO, Baby! Parker LOVED this place! He couldn’t stop saying, “Choo-Choo!” and pointing at every one he saw! Make sure to check out the movie on his site! Man, that kid is nuts about trains! After a quick stop at the, “What if…” exhibit, we decided to take in a play called, “Curious George and the Dinosaur Discovery.” It was really entertaining, but I have to admit, It was nice to sit and just relax for a minute. I think Parks agreed. His eyes were pretty heavy during the show.

Next on the agenda was the glass sculpture exhibit. While I “virtually” blew my own glass sculpture, Parker found those choo-choos again! On to the Comic Book Heroes display for Daddy…we didn’t stay long but we did get to see a real Batmobile used in the movie. It was pretty cool…Daddy wanted to drive it!

PLAYSCAPE! We played in the water, the sand, built with blocks, climbed, slid,..you name, we did it. We stayed there for a long time before making our last stop at the ScienceWorks room. Parks and I floated boated in the water and watched the pool ball machine. By this time, it was 4:00 (we dominated the museum for 6 HOURS) and it was time to pack it in. Momma and Daddy said that we were so good, that we’d stop on the way home and get a scoop of ice cream (ahhh, the title comes into play!). We had some dinner first, then headed to Cold Stone Creamery for our after dinner treat.

What a great day! And like I said, Momma may not admit it, but I saw her smiling a lot today! She loves us! Thanks, Daddy for convincing her to come along on our fun day!

PARKER BOY NOTE: Today we realized that Parker has really stinky feet. Like “man” stinky feet. What’s up with that?!?
