Our fun filled weekend started with trip to Lafayette to hang out with Gigi while Momma hit the spa with Jennifer Coyle for the afternoon. If you ask me, for being at the spa for the WHOLE afternoon, she didn’t look any different! Better luck next time, Momma! Meanwhile, Parker, Gigi, and I hit the library for story time and then headed to McDonald’s to meet up with Mada for some lunch. By then, Parks was pretty tired and went down for an extended nap-a-roo! He woke up just in time for Momma to pick us up, head for home and get ready for a big Saturday of fun!

It started out raining…pretty standard these days. We loaded up in two cars and headed to Crawfordsville, but NOT to go to Momma’s work…it was to go to a party at Daddy’s school…something about a ten year reunion…it was more like ten years of rain! While we were there, we had lunch and waited for the Kopp Family to arrive with their four kiddos!

I was so excited when they got there! Patrick and I became instant friends while Parker, Kevin, and Bridget played some sort of running something with each other. Baby Danny just smiled and hung out with his Momma.

After the Daddys got their picture taken with a very small group of other people, we toodled around the school and then headed back to our house for 2 hours and 40 minutes of Wii playtime! Patrick LOVES to play the Wii and is VERY good at it! I watched him play the whole time! We played a lot together and had lots of fun. When it was about 9:30, Patrick and I had a “slumber party” on Momma’s floor, while the rest of the Kopp family piled into my exceptionally pink room to sleep for the night.

We want to thank the Kopps for coming down and hanging with us! It was super great to see everyone! Momma and Daddy are already talking about a road trip to Chicago before summer is over!

Check out Parker’s blog for Sunday’s fun in the sun post!

We have a surprise waiting for you at home, Daddy! Happy number 32!

The weekend started out pretty good with a trip to Denny’s first thing Saturday morning. I had scrambled eggs and pancakes (and cleaned the plate) and Parker had the french toast dippers and bacon (he likes bacon? Yup!). We both had cool rocket cups with curly straws that blasted off the table throughout the meal.

After that, though, the day took a little trip to Boringville. Mommy and Daddy worked really hard on installing new lights in the kitchen while Parker and I had a Pinky Dinky Doo marathon. Lucky for Parker, he took a really good nap during most of the early afternoon and missed most of the non-excitement. But, I stayed up and offered my moral support by popping my head in the kitchen every once in a while to see what sort of damage they were causing.

The good news is that we were sooooo good during work time that we earned a super-fun day on Sunday. We got up, had some breakfast at home, and then hit the open road. Our first stop was inspired by all of the recent fun Riley and Taylor had…we hit the Canadian Park (Columbian Park, but Mommy and Daddy think it is funny that I say Canadian Park. They’re funny, eh?)!

We walked in and played a while in the water fountains and gardens before moving over to the farm animals. Parker and Daddy went in to chase and pet all of the little goats, but Mommy and I stayed back to observe and practice reading all of the signs we could see. After that, we went over and popped our heads up in the tunnels like prairie dogs so that we could see…well, the prairie dogs. Finally, we caught all of the big animals like the bald eagle, otters, lynx, and the porcupine.

Next up was a jaunt over to the playground. The craziest thing about this leg of the adventure was the fact that there were 3 little boys on the equipment all named “Parker”. Can you believe that?!? One is rare enough, two is pretty crazy, and three in one place is like dividing by zero…it just doesn’t happen. Anyway, we hit every piece of playground equipment and then moved on to the train around the park and the other rides like the helicopters and boats before saying goodbye to Canadian Park and hitting lunch at BW3′s.

We rounded out the day with a lot of outside play time at Mema and Pepa’s. Pepa and TC were working pretty hard out in the woods and Julie and I worked pretty hard on running in the yard and chasing her ball. Every was pretty worn out by the time we headed home, but we were so good during nap time that Mommy let us stay up and watch a movie until after 8! That’s what I call a good day!
