As Poppa already posted, we had an adventure filled day on Wednesday! Seeing Chicago through Morgan’s eyes made the day even more special. This was her big “before I start school trip” and we enjoyed every mode of transportation to the hilt! We craned our necks like the tourists to see the tall sky scrapers and took in the city. Thank you for sharing the day filled with popcorn, fruit snacks , jelly beans and lots of love!
Poppa will try this. The morning started about 6:00 am ,we got dressed and headed to the first stop,the bus. It took us to the train station where we waited for our train to arrive. We ate or breakfast(peanut butter and waffles(kung fu panda).The train arrived about 15mins late.We boarded and off we went. During the ride Gigi had packed a fun book of mazes and Poppa and Morgan worked on them. “note to Gigi AND Poppa,needed harder challanges. Morgan breezed thru it like nothing. After about 3 hours we arrived in a big station,Morgan quote”Its like an airport”. We all gathered in a big room with a big pig”see pictures”,and walked to the Sears tower.It was a tall building to Poppa imagine being 2foot shorter.inside and up to a movie room for a quick history lesson about the tower. Than to the top. We walked to all four walls looking at a city slightly larger than Lebenon. Morgan looked thru the binoculars, and wallked around looking at all the stuff.(see pictures).Than down to the bus to Navy Pier. We at at the biggest McDonalds Poppa has ever been in,than off for some exploring. After looking at all the shop, we settled on the Discovery store for some shopping. After some Morgan purchases and Parker we looked for other goodies.Gigi ask what our favorite thing so far was Poppas was just walking around holding Morgans hand, Morgan says she liked everthing. We went to the 2nd level and say a big ferris wheel (didnt ride it) and walked around the out side to see the lake ect. than off to a boat ride on the river looking at buildings ,about an hour. We loaded up on the bus for the ride back. Morgan fell asleep on Poppas lap til we got to our stop for supper, we all got breekast. On the way home we watched a movie Snow Buddys. We got to Gigis car and road home. We were in bed in about 10 mins after we got home,as we were spent.”note From Poppa this was one of my best days of my life and one I will never forget. As Morgan said “I dont want this day to end” . With a big shake of the head from Gigi. Love Poppa P.S. Gigi can fill in her side . Thank You for this day Morgan

Let’s start waaayyy back at Friday. After a day at school, Momma picked Parks and me up and told us that we’d be spending the night in Lafayette…whooo-hooo! I love overnighting! As soon as she had us packed up and Daddy walked through the door from a long day at work, we headed to Lafayette. We decided that we needed to get dinner there since it was two hours past our our regular chow time. While on our way to Pizza King, you’ll never believe who called us?!?! It was Ms Michele! She had hopped in her car and was heading to Aunt Carrie’s to do some pre-garage sale shopping! I was sooo excited that I was going to see her…two times in one day! How cool! Bonus-Ava was there too!
On to Mema and Pepa’s to spend the night. We arrived around 9:30 and Parks and I were pretty wound up. It was really hard for us to fall asleep, but Momma taught me a new trick…counting sheep! Now, if only I could get her to stop snoring and then we’d be in business!
Momma and Daddy woke up super early the next day to go do garage sale at Aunt Carrie’s (total bust!). Parks and I got to spend some quality time with Mema and Pepa. We ate breakfast at Micky D’s, hit the mall for some playtime, and then back to the house for Parker’s nap time. While he napped, Mema and I played Crowns and Gowns! Momma came shortly after to pick us up and head back to Aunt Carrie’s to close up the sale. Everyone was so good, that we all went to BW3′s for dinner, and then home for bed. What an exhausting day!
