Whew, what a weekend! We got up on Saturday and headed up to Lafayette to run some errands and make the rounds for Mommy’s birthday. We started off at Mema and Pepa’s house, where I love to play Sprout on the computer and run up and down the hallway with Parker. Pepa even (reluctantly) gave up his Muscle Car show for a little Nick Jr. on the TV…he must really love us!
We left from there and hit a few stores on our list before heading over to Gigi and Poppa’s house. Gigi had a brand new movie for us…101 Dalmatians, so we popped that right in and gave it a spin. Soon after, Riley and Taylor showed up and it was party time! The girls left to get Mada and left the boys to handle Romper Room. They did a pretty good job and came up with some fun activities. Poppa was on balloon patrol, Uncle Manata had coloring time, and Uncle Brian had crazy-running-around-and-flipping-kids-upside-down duty. After all of that craziness, it was time to chow down on some Chili’s goodness and then sing “Happy Birthday” to Mommy a few times before plowing in to the cake! Finally, the big boys sneaked out and left Parker to fend for himself with all of the girls while they lost our college funds at a poker game.
On Sunday, I went with Mommy to her school while Daddy and Parker stayed home and changed the clocks. It was pretty fun to draw my now-famous solar system on the chalkboard and help Mommy organize all of her school stuff…I’m a big helper!
