This morning, we woke up to the fevered anticipation of hanging out with Ellie and her family! We met them for breakfast (at closer to lunch time!) and had a super-fun time trading food and spilling drinks at Lebanon’s pride-and-joy, Denny’s. Then, we packed up and headed back to our house for a little Romper Room. I think everyone had a bunch of fun and played really well, so it turned out to be a great way to spend the afternoon.
After Denny’s, we hopped back in the Mommy Mobile to jet north to Gigi and Poppa’s house to hang out for Gigi’s pre-birthday. On her real birthday, our compass will be heading south, our movies will be rolling, and we’ll be rolling our way to Florida. So, we wanted to get together and hang out for a little bit to let her know how much we love her!
The big bunny stopped by our house and left us a basket full of treats and a room full of hidden eggs!
While Momma and Daddy filled out tones of paperwork at Central Elementary, MY first stop was the speech and hearing room. I listened to beeps and repeated words like a champ. Of course, I passed both with flying colors! Then it was on to the music room which was super cool since we’re studying music with Ms. Michelle right now…I told my “maybe kindergarten teacher next year” everything I knew. In the music room, I counted, I put shaped and colors together, and I finished sentences like, “Dad is a boy, so Mom is a ___________.” When I finished, I got to visit Ms. Chris (she teaches 4th grade at Central, and then comes to my preschool in the afternoon to help Ms. Michelle) in her classroom. All in all, it was a pretty fun time. I got a new book, a carrot-looking toothbrush, and a pencil case filled with school supplies. Watch out Central, here I come!
Momma and I have an appointment at Central Elementary on Friday to get me “rounded up” for kindergarten. Wow! Can you even believe it! I’ll let you know how it goes! Wish me luck!
