Archive for December 2007

Tonight was our first of many Christmas celebrations! We went to Grandma JoJo’s house for some food, fun, and presents! I had a great time playing games with Rhonda and my cousins. Big “Thank Yous,” to Grandma and Grandpa McKnight for my presents! My clock is already chimming away in my room! I love it!

This post is by The Momma….

Upon seeing Daddy and I hugging in the kitchen, Morgan responded with the following comment, “Eeeewwww, Romantic Time!” Another classic one liner!

Also, today while out shopping with me she made my heart smile once again. I was holding the door for a very long line of people when Morgan noticed and commented loudly, “Hey Momma, only the one person said, ‘Thank you,’ to you. They don’t have good manners. You’re always supposed to say thank you when someone holds the door for you.”

December

Okay, so the recent lapse in posting is totally Momma’s fault. Daddy posted pictures and has been waiting for Mommy to help me with the updates. Here’s the rundown:

December 8th-Breakfast with Santa…and Gigi…and Poppa…and Uncle Manata….and Aunt Carrie….and Riley….and Taylor….and Momma, Daddy, and Parker
Poppa hooked us up! We hopped in the car, went to Bob Rohrman’s, and had pancakes with Santa early Saturday morning! It was so fun! I got to play with Riley and Taylor, hang with my Gigi and Poppa, AND sit on Santa’s knee! Mrs. Claus was there, too! Parker and I both got treat bags! What a banner day…and it wasn’t even noon yet! Thanks Poppa! After breakfast, we did some running around town, took a nap at Gigi’s, and then played at Aunt Carrie’s house for awhile before heading home. Parker and I were pretty tired by the time we got home that night!

December 13th-Christmas Program at the Mayor’s Office
Miss Michele, Joy, and Din loaded all of us and headed to the Municipal Building to finally sing our program for a live audience! There must have been thousands of people there…okay maybe not that many, but the place was packed! It was so great! Santa was there, too! You can check out the pictures here:

Momma took a digital movie of the whole thing, but it’s too big to put out there. Highlights: The Chipmunk Song, 5 Little Trees Poem, O Holy Night (Brought tears to many adults’ eyes), and Happy Birthday, Jesus where I got to be Mary and hold the baby while everyone else sang to it. There was also an article with pictures in the Lebanon Reporter, but it made us sound like we were little distracted squirrels running around the place like unfocused maniacs. Thank goodness for Miss Michele. She talked to the paper and sent a picture of ALL of us for them to print. We really did a fantastic job! Thanks to Mada, Poppa, and Mema for coming to see me! I know Gigi and Pepa were there in spirit, too! :)

Last but not least, Happy Birthday, Pepa! Save some cake for me!

Mommy, Daddy, and I left Parker with Mema and Pepa while we made good on Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata’s birthday present. We packed in the car and headed to Indy for High School Musical, the Ice Tour!

I was very excited all the way down there, especially becuase we were going to find Meesa with Gigi and Poppa! The anticipation made it feel like forever, but as soon as we found our way to our seat, we heard a big “Bub!” from about 20 feet away. Gigi, Poppa, and Meesa were just 3 rows over! We jumped over the isles and met up with them before the show, but as we came back to our seats, we decided to play some (High School) Musical Chairs so that the giggling girls could sit together. That left Papa to camp out with Mommy and Daddy for the show (I’m sure they filled him in on the story and songs).

When the lights dimmed and the music started up, it was just like watching the movies! Meesa and I sang the words to every song of High School Musical before intermission, then belted out all of the High School Musical 2 tunes after the break. The show was full of music, lights, fireworks, flips, twirls, and fun. What a cool afternoon!
