Happy 5th Birthday
Oh, man, is it time for another Mommy and Daddy post again?!? Really, the time is flying by so fast that it is almost not fair. Every moment with you new, exciting, interesting, and fun, and we cherish every one!
Some of our favorite moments and memories with you this year have been on our big trips to Florida and St. Louis. You’re such a trooper and a good traveler. I love it that you’re interested in seeing and experiencing the world. Plus, it is great how these types of events provide an opportunity for you to come up with one of your famous questions or phrases to sum up the situation and make us laugh!
It is amazing how intelligent you are with your ability to soak up new things and recall with a photographic memory. Honestly, it almost a little scary sometimes…we need to watch what we say because nothing slips by you! You’re the smartest little girl, and we couldn’t be more proud. You teach us something new everyday, and not just facts about planets or molecules, but about how to appreciate what is most important: family, friends, and fun!
And it isn’t just your brain that is so big…your big heart is filled with love and joy. It makes Mommy and Daddy so happy to see how you love your little brother. It is obvious by how much you care for him, protect him, play with him, tease him, and teach him. But, your love doesn’t stop with just our family. You are one of the most genuinely caring people that I know and find a place in your heart for everyone that affects your life. That is a fantastic quality and is one of the reasons you’ll be someone that makes the world a better place by just being you.
So, even though you seem to be growing up way too fast, you make it way so fun. Keep being smart. Keeping being funny. Keeping being caring. Keep being special. Keeping being you.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

I couldn’t have said it any better. You are God’s gift! And, don’t forget that you have the greatest parents ever.I can’t wait to see what new discovery you will make tomorrow. Don’t ever change. You are perfection.
And by the way, I know you will love the Purdue Christmas Show, contata and all. There was a little girl about your age who sang a solo, “Happy Birthday Jesus”. Her young voice rang out, and I couldn’t help but think about you and your love for singing. She looked so much like you. Get ready for next year my little girl.Mema is going to introduce you to some wonderful entertainment, regardless of what Uncle TC and Mommy tell you.
Love you little one.
