Our weekend

Friday was Gigi Day, which is always packed with action, adventure, and playtime. This week, the highlight was playing at Ice Cream Paradise for about 2 1/2 hours! I ran all over the playground and played with other little kids enjoying the sunshine while Parker kept busy digging in the pea gravel and sitting in the holes we dug.

Saturday was another very full day. We packed in to the car and hit the road to head north. Daddy, Poppa, and Uncle Manata kept on north to Delphi to build the carpenter’s shop while Mommy hit the mall for some hardcore shopping and Parker and I rested at Gigi’s. After that, we hooked up with Aunt Carrie, Riley, and Taylor to plant some flowers for Pada and go check on the Daddies. We weren’t too interested in their wood an nails, so we busied ourselves at the Interpretive Center and hit the Stone Barn Playground before heading back to Lafayette.

A quick round of baths, and it was off to night-night while the adults had some deck time and celebrated Aunt Carrie’s birthday with cake and presents.

So, after all that action, you would think Sunday would be boring, but we still had a fun day. Mommy and Daddy both worked on work stuff, so Parker and I took in a few Magic School Bus episodes, played in the sand and water table, made good use of the swings and slides in between their reports, grading, and computer stuff. Now we need to get back to school so we can get some rest!

Big Friday!

This Friday was a Gigi Friday, and I love Gigi Fridays because they’re super fun! We had donuts, library, Wal Mart, playtime…the usual rounds of Friday Fun.

But, we were surprised to see Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata show up with Riley and Taylor! Mommy and Daddy had arranged this play date so that they could go out to dinner in Indy. We started our night with McDonalds and then a crazy game of “Hide the Squirrel”. We took all of our crazy little squirrel Happy Meal toys and hid them for Riley and Taylor in the dining room. They counted and hid their eyes while Daddy and I did the hiding, then they would sprint in to the room and search high and low to find all of those silly squirrels. Once we found all four, we would do it again, and again, and again…everyone had so much fun!

After that game started to lose its flair, we headed outside and went through 200 poppers while Parker camped out in his red car. Next up was a few laps up and down the sidewalk on our road as we took turns riding in the car, then inside for a 4-person bath spectacular. Riley and Taylor really liked our detachable shower head and thought it was pretty funny when it was squirted on their bellies!

We wound down in my bed while Daddy read books, then everyone went down for some Z’s. It was well after our usual bedtimes, but the occasion called for the extended fun and frolic. Thanks for the fun night girls, and check out the pics and movie below!

Finding Squirrels

In case you haven’t caught them, check the pics of my getting my boogie on at the wedding reception. I heard that they had to replace the dance floor after I left because I wore it out!

Hey, Jude!

Whew, what a big day today. First, Parks and I went to school as usual while Mommy and Daddy headed down to Indy. After a longer-than-expected oil change, they went over to the hospital to meet Adam’s new baby brother, Jude! I didn’t get to see him, but Mommy said that he looks perfect. He is a tiny little baby boy with lots of hair…I can’t wait to see him next to Daddy (a big boy with no hair!).

After Mommy and Daddy picked Parker and I up from school, we headed straight north to Lafayette to get ready for the wedding rehearsal. I had to wear special flower girl shoes as I practiced walking down the isle…and I did perfect! After all of that walking, I was hungry and was excited to go out to eat with everyone at Spurlocks. With a full belly and tired legs, I crashed at Mema and Pepa’s house and dreamed about flower petals and fluffy dresses all night.

Also, a big thanks to Adam, Rob, and Jennifer for playing with us yesterday. We all had a lot of fun playing and talking with you yesterday and we’ll see you all again soon! Good luck with baby Jude…little brothers are a lot of work!
