Parker may be new at this gig, but not me. This is my 5th Canal Days! I actually got to help Gigi take orders at the window of the Snack Shack and made $1.25 in tips in the first five minutes I was there! Later, I rode two ponies, gave a tour to Riley and Taylor through the Case House, and rode on the canal boat with Gigi. I also sampled the ice cream and pretzel with cheese from the Snack Shack. Quality Control. Thanks to everyone for making my half-a-decade Canal Days so great! See ya’ next year!
I also wanted to thank Pepa for letting me help him load the trailer today. I had lots of fun hanging out with you! Also, thanks to Mema for taking me to get my hair trimmed and swimming with me today!
I had a bunch of fun today! First, we hung out with Mema and Pepa to chow on some of Daddy’s flame-broiled goodness. Then, Aunt Carrie stopped by with Riley and Taylor and we started playing as if we’d never stopped (hope you feel better Uncle Manata). Next, Gigi and Poppa showed up to participate in the playtime activities and witness one of the coolest $5 Aldi-sponsored fireworks shows you’ll see!
As is Lebanon tradition this time of year, they’ve turned the City Park in to a wonderland of elephant ears, tilt-a-whirls, and carnival workers! Mommy stayed home with “Sleepy Boy” Parker, but Daddy and I hit the midway with tickets a-blazin’. We rode the carousel, then the train, the Berry Go Round, and finally the cars. I was surprised to have a co-pilot on the cars at the last second…Amber, a girl from my school, showed up just in time to hop on with me and take a ride. We also hit the fishing game where I won a stuffed lobster and we grabbed a lemon shake-up on our way out. What a fun night!
