Because I’m on a beach in St. Joe’s, MI right now, I’m allowing Mommy to write my experience “Tearing Down the Fair.” Gotta’ go, the waves are calling me.
So this was Morgan’s first year participating in what the Macy Family calls, “Tear Down.” Just like the Snack Shack, the 4-H Fair is a family tradition. However, if you ask me, The Momma, it’s more like “Family Torture,” but that’s besides the point. I’m very happy to say that Morgan jumped in with both feet and picked right up with debulbing the light lines with Mema while Pepa and myself coiled light lines and disconnected wires. She did get a little bored from time to time, but during her bursts of helping, it was safer to just stay out of her way and DO NOT try and horn in on her bulb job unless you wanted a little attitude. Mema witnessed, experienced, and lived to tell about one such diva outburst.
The coolest part for MorganLee was when Pepa took her high into the sky on “The Lift.” She loved riding around and going up and down with Pepa at the controls. The best part was hearing her belt out the “Nifty Fifty United States” while Pepa was bringing down the overhead lines. After a few up and downs, it was time to head to Gigi’s for yet another adventure…St. John’s Beach in Michigan. Stay tuned…and Pepa, anytime you want to play in the lift, call me. I’m your girl!!
