There was some major Christmas shopping to be done, so on Saturday we packed up and headed north. The first stop was Daddy’s favorite treat, Ruby Tuesday. I had macaroni and cheese and did a really good job eating. Parker was a super good boy at lunch, too, making Mommy and Daddy very happy.

After lunch, we hit the Super Crazy Super Target where we ran in to Aunt Carrie, Jill, and Riley & Taylor. Daddy and I helped them burn off a little steam by making laps up and down the Target grocery store isles. Check us out:

After Target, we needed a little break and went over to see Gigi and Poppa at their house. We hung out for a little bit to spread some holiday cheer before heading over to Aunt Carrie’s house to have a quick pre-bedtime party. When we had run Riley and Taylor around a little, Aunt Carrie tucked them in and then she and Mommy went out for more shopping madness while Daddy was on point with the childrens. Everyone was super-good on Saturday and we all had a lot of fun.

Sunday was sort of a lazy day. We stayed home all day and Mema, Pepa, TC, and Rene came over to help us fix the hole in the pipe in our ceiling. It looks dry up there…I can see it through the several holes cut in to the ceiling! Then, there was a variety of holiday baking and hanging out during the day.

Special note to my friend Adam. Although I didn’t believe it was possible after seeing all of his daredevil stunts, he ended up in the ER when he hurt his chin this weekend. We hope he has a speedy recovery!

Friday was Ganny day with an extra twist. When Poppa got off work, he swooped down to pick up me and Gigi and we all went to Caribbean Cove. This is a really cool indoor water part with slides, a lazy river, and lots of fun water toys. We jumped in the water Friday night for a big swim, then made sure to get our money’s worth by hitting the pool on Saturday before heading home. Gigi was nice enough to take some pictures of all the fun we had:

Thanks very much for the trip!

Also, thanks to T.C. and Renee for coming down on Saturday so Mommy and Daddy could get out and party for the night!

Age: 4 years
Height: 42 3/4 inches
Weight: 44 pounds
Nicknames: Big Sister, Banana Brains, Banana Nut Muffin
Likes: I still love movies and TV. My new favorite show is Magic School Bus. I love learning about new things and have started asking a lot of questions about what words mean, how they’re spelled, how things work, and the famous “why?”.
Dislikes: Getting sleepy and then being told that I’m sleepy.
Notes: I can sound out words and spell many of them from memory. I really like word and letter games, like trying to say all the animals we can think of that start with a certain letter. My coloring and projects have improved as I take more time and effort being precise. We moved in to a new house this year…right across the street from our old house. Also, I moved to a new school this year…out of Sonshine and in to Guardian Angel. The main reason was because Sonshine didn’t take little babies. Yup, the biggest news of my year has been the latest addition or our family, a stinky little boy brother! I really love him a lot and have been extremely helpful, loving, and patient.

Mema and Pepa came down to our house to play with Parker while I had some one-on-one-on-one time with Mommy and Daddy. We went downtown to make good and Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata’s birthday present to me…tickets to Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes! As soon as we got out of the car, we were surrounded by hundreds of giddy little girls dressed up in their finest Belle dresses, Cinderella gowns, or other sparkly, glittery, and girly outfits adorned with their favorite character. While waiting for the show to start, I quickly made friends with the little girl behind me. As the show started, we both were in awe of all the action, props, and skating. We held hands and squeaked when our favorite songs were performed. It was an awesome show and I was riveted the whole time…complete with wide eyes and gaping mouth. Thank you Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata!
