Thanksgiving & aftermath

First, I want to say “Thanks” to everyone for coming down and making our Thanksgiving so fun. We really liked seeing everyone and were glad you could help us eat turkey and potatoes! I had a good time and I hope you all did, too. Special thanks to Gigi and Poppa, Mema and Pepa, Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata, and Mada…we couldn’t have done it without you!

After the big turkey dinner, we embarked on our traditional journey to the land of Lampoon. Mema, Pepa, TC, and Renee joined Mommy, Daddy and I to watch Christmas Vacation. It was weird…I couldn’t quite figure out why all the voices of the characters in the movie sounded just like the voices of the people in the room. All I heard were their voices reciting all of the lines about 10 seconds before the characters in the movie. It must have just been a bad, bad dub on the movie.

I was pretty wired after the show, but managed to crash that night and get some rest before we headed up to Lafayette on Friday. I played with Gigi and Parker for a little bit while Mommy and Daddy dashed out for some shopping madness. It didn’t last long, though, because Mommy is sick and came back to take a nap before going to the doctor for some medicine…poor Mommy. We managed to have enough time for a tasty ginger bread house, though:

Finally, what Thanksgiving weekend would be complete without a visit to Bud the Horse? On Saturday, Parker and I met Gigi and Poppa then swung by to get Riley and Taylor for this annual adventure. Although the line was too long to get a ride with Santa, we still got some great pictures. See you next year, Bud!

Wow, we had a great time with you! We really enjoyed playing at your house on Thanksgiving and going to see Bud the horse a few days later. We think you’re lotsa fun!

Looks like you had a great time!

I sure miss you guys. Hope I can see you sometime this weekend.

I know for a fact that Santa has been working very hard in his workshop getting ready for Christmas. I can’t wait until the fat old fellow makes a stop at our house to leave presents for you and Parker.

Don’t forget to be especially good this time of year. Santa will be watching.
