My holiday celebration began just a little sooner than most…here’s the breakdown:

Friday-As usual, Gigi came down to my house to play with me…and with two new festive outfits in hand, too! Thanks, Gigi! After being exposed to the super fun “toot” maker (A.K.A-Fart sound in a jar) that Gigi got as a “welcome to your new office gift,” we headed to the campground. Campground you say? Yes, that’s right. Gigi took me to the campground in Thorntown to see Grandma & Grandpa McKnight’s castle on wheels! I had so much fun there! Grandma took us all over the grounds in a golfcart so that I could play on all 5 playgrounds! I even got to play in a sandbox which surprised Mommy since I really don’t like to get dirty. Grandma made a reversible patriotic dress that, if I do say so myself, look super cute in! Thanks Grandma for showing us around your place, shuttling me from place to place, and for my great dress!

Later that night when Daddy got home, we decided to head the carnival that was going on at the park. After being a little leary at first, I ended up riding the carousel two times and a car ride once. Inbetween all of that $2.25 per ride excitment, my daddy won a medium sized CareBear at the watergun race game! However, being the pro muffin tin tosser that I am, I saw his CareBear and raised it to a supersized one! That’s right, with one toss of the ball, I won a giant CareBear! The lady said it was the first jumbo prize she had given away that day! Maybe I have a future in softball! After one more game and winning a dolphin, we headed home.

Saturday
-Up and at ‘em early-bird style! Before I knew it, we were in the car and headed to the Snack Shack at the Delphi Canal Days Festival! I got to hang out with Gigi, Poppa, Aunt Carrie, Uncle Manata, Riley, Taylor, and Grandma & Grandpa French! What an exciting day! I also rode in a carriage with Gigi, Riley, Taylor, and Aunt Carrie, a buggie with Gigi, AND for the finale, I rode on a pony, Mickey, all by myself! I may be afraid of any bug I see, but not a four legged creature that weighs tens times as much as I do!

Scratch that softball career…I’m thinkin’ horse jockey! And a big thank you to Grandma French for my festive holiday wear. I think the shirt says it all, “Let’s focus on me!”

Later that day, Mommy scooped me up and we headed to Mema and Pepa’s house. I got to take a ride in Renee’s new wheels…a brand new HHR! Congratulations, Renee! I can’t wait to go cruisin’ with you. What do ya’ think about eating some ice cream in that new car?!? After our trip around the block, Mommy and I quickly hit the pool and soon after Daddy, Aunt Carrie, and Uncle Manata showed up from their long shift at the shack. They jumped in the water and needless to say we were prunes (whatever that is) by the time we got out three hours later! I sacked out pretty hard on the couch and was quickly wisked upstairs by my daddy to sleep until no more sleep could come out. Mema peaked in on me occasionally throughout the night and said I looked, “as snug as a bug in a rug.”

Sunday-Breakfast! After Mommy was informed that Sunday in the Macy household was McDonald’s Day, we all packed up in our cars and met at the McDonald’s. I thought I’d spice things up by taking my “toot in a jar” into McDonald’s and lettin’ it fly! Mema cracked up, but Mommy and Daddy weren’t too excited by my choice of toys to bring into a public place.

After chow time, it was time for Mommy and Daddy to head back up to the Shack for another shift. I, however, got to hang out with Mema and Pepa. There was a quick stop at the Menard’s, and then back to the house to do some crafting with Mema. I got to use a glue stick to stick foam pieces to paper. I worked on my artwork for about two hours! After being creatively drained, I thought it might be time to watch some TV. Mema, Pepa, TC, and Renee joined me in the basement for some mindless entertainment. Soon, a sweaty and tied Mommy and Daddy came to pick me up. The end to my celebration extravaganza had finally come to a close, and what an exciting time I had!

I’d like to thank the following again:
Gigi and Poppa for a great Canal Day experience including all of my prizes and outfits! I can’t wait to catch it all again in ’07.
G & G French for my festive outfit!
Grandma Mcknight for a fun Friday, and my new patriotic dress!
Aunt Carrie (AKA-Sarah AKA-Angelina) & Uncle Manata (AKA-Jefferson) for playing mermaids with me in the pool
Mema & Pepa for letting me spend the night and playing with me on Sunday! I had a lot of fun!
