Field Trip

Today at school we got to go to Ice Cream Paradise for a field trip!! I had a lot of fun playing with all my friends and eating BLUE ice cream. Can ya’ believe it?? I strayed from the traditional pink with a cherry! What can I say, I’m a renegade!

A day late but here’s a recap of yesterday’s exciting celebrations!

#1-Happy 30th birthday times two, Mema!
#2-Happy Birthday to Kopp…Patrick, Kevin, & Bridget’s daddy!
#3-Happy Birthday to Kara…Ellie & Eli’s mommy!
#4-Happy 55th anniversary to Grandma & Granpa French!

And last but not least, congratulations to Aunt Carrie & Mommy for another successful garage sale!

Last Saturday, Daddy, Uncle Manata, and Poppa went to play golf together for Father’s Day. And, how did I celebrate, you ask? I went shopping with the girls! Aunt Carrie had her shopping buddies, Taylor and Riley, ready to take the mall by storm. After shopping, we hit the pool for some fun in the sun before the boys came back broke up the girl-party. Riley and Taylor went home with their Mommy and Daddy and we swam for a little bit longer before heading south. I was snoring before we hit the highway!

On Sunday, we finally got a chance to make good on a long overdue date with Adam. We did some shopping, then we met them in Westfield to see Cars! It was super packed in there because it was rainy, and it was Father’s Day, and because they have popcorn. We elbowed our way through the crowd and settled in our seats to enjoy the show while the Daddies handled snacks and drinks. It was a really fun movie…I liked it a lot. After the move, we hit TGI Friday’s to check out the flair and have some mac and cheese. It was another big day, and I was sacked out again on the way home.

Monday was a chill-at-home day, but today was hair cut day! Mommy and I went to see Alex at D.L. Lowry for fancy hairdos. Check out my new cut!

Finally, for the encore, here is the joke I’ve been telling Mommy all day: SmallLarge

Today was a very exciting day at school because we actually left school behind and headed out for a field trip to…..the new McDonald’s in Zionsville!! Ten(Morgan’s estimation) of us from the three and four year old rooms loaded up our booster seats into the big gray church van and we were off. With Miss Rebecca behind the wheel, we were there in no time at all. I ate all of my lunch which impressed Miss Lisa because I never eat all of my lunch at school! As a bonus, I got a new car in my Happy Meal from the movie Cars! I’m well on my way to having my very own car lot! After, we hit the big playground. I played really hard with all of my friends. By 12:30 it was time to pack up and head back to school for nap time. I wasn’t very fond of that idea and told Miss Lisa all about my opinions on the situation.

When it was time for Mommy to pick me up, she had another surprise for me….a trip to the Library! We stayed there until closing time! I must have been a very good girl to have such awesome treats today!

Mommy Note: I just realized how strange it is to be on the other side of that permission slip as a mom and not the teacher in charge of the event. I never knew how important some of the most trivial information can be to a mom. Gives me great insight for the next trip I plan for the kids at school!

Last Monday, after dropping off Daddy’s car at the fix-it-shop, I went to Mema’s for some fun in the sun. There are some pictures to check out in the pictures section of my website if you’d like to see me in action.

While I was there, I played in my pool, played with Julie-Dog, and got a very educational lesson on the ecosystem of tadpoles with Renee. I even touched a tadpole AND the tiniest frogs I’ve ever seen! Thanks, Renee!

On Tuesday, I got an early visit from Gigi and Poppa. They were on their way to Florida and stopped by with some tasty donut treats for me! Thanks, guy! Later that morning, TC came down to do some work around the house for Mommy. I was kinda’ bummed because I really wanted to play with him, but Mommy kept him busy doing things outside.

On Wednesday, I got up and got ready to go to school. While Mommy was dressing me, she noticed that I had some red dots on my back. She told me that I must have gotten some bug bites while I was playing outside at Mema’s on Monday. I went ahead and went to school. When she picked me up, she noticed that I had MORE dots on me!! Instead of bug bites, Mommy said something about a chicken in a box (translation…Chicken Pox)!! We went to the doctor right away. The doctor said it’s harder to diagnose these days because when kids that have gotten the vaccine get the pox, the pox are a-typical looking. They don’t have the textbook look to them and they’re not nearly as bad in number, itching or duration. I had to get my blood taken to actually confirm chicken pox. Unfortunately, the results won’t be back for 7 DAYS! BUT – I still could be contagious for the next 3-5 days; until all the little blisters have scabbed. No fever, not a lot of itching, sleeps fine, like nothing is wrong. So to play it on the safe side, Mommy has been quarantined with me on Thursday and Friday, and Daddy took over the duty on Saturday so Mommy could go to two parties in Lafayette with Mema, Pepa, TC, and Renee. I sure wish I could have been there, too.

So far today, it’s been another day at home with the Mommy and Daddy. I hoping that we can actually go out in public again soon!
