There were lots and lots of steps taken today. Mommy got up bright and early to head downtown for the big mini marathon. She started walking at 8:00 with a few thousand of her closest friends, and took right out of the gate like lightning. By 10:00, she had hit the 8 mile mark and was very determined to make it the whole way. Then, at noon, she crossed the finish line to a chorus of cheers and fanfare. A whole 13 miles, in her 3rd trimester…we are very, very proud of her. You deserve that big nap this afternoon!
While Mommy was exercising her body, Daddy and I exercised our brains and feet walking around the Children’s Museum! We rolled out of bed and got ourselves ready to hit the opening of the doors at 10:00. After a quick stop at the glass blowing exhibition outside, we headed straight for Playscape to play with the water, sand, and other preschool toys. Not long after, I found out that Daddy arranged a play date…Baby Adam showed up with his Mommy and Daddy! We hit all of the exhibits we could handle, had some lunch, then caught the Mr. Rogers movie in the Planetarium. We rounded out the trip with the aquarium, mummies, the new “Fireworks of glass” exhibit (it was really cool), and the Magic School Bus exhibit. Thanks very much for hanging out today, Adam. I hope that we can check out the dinosaurs again soon!

P.S. – here are a few snaps of me playing in the yard that didn’t make it up last month:
