Old Friends
Yesterday started out like any other weekend, Mommy and Daddy tiled…again! I can’t wait until they run out of floor. I can’t really complain, though, I got to do my three favorite things, lounge on the couch, eat grapes, and watch Little Einsteins. These events, of course, were punctuated by trips to the potty. Oh wait, there is NO potty downstairs; Daddy took it out to tile! That Daddy sure is learning a lot about “Home Improvement.” With all of his new found knowledge, Mommy calls him Norm (From This Old House) and mentioned something about putting him to work on building a sun room…baby steps, Mommy!
After a well deserved nap for Daddy and me, we put on my costume once again and headed to the Fall Festival at Mommy’s school. While mommy sold tickets to all kinds of ghouls, Daddy and I played games, won butterflies, ate snow cones (“ice cones”), and took in all the scenery.
When it was time to leave, we thought we’d stop by and see Christy (she took good care of me when I was a baby), but she wasn’t home. This upset me a lot and left me asking, “Where’s Christy? Is she at the library, Mommy?” Mommy thought it might be a good idea to see if she was at Little Mexico. So we headed in that direction. She wasn’t there. I think it was Mommy and Daddy’s sneaky plan just to get us there so they could eat. It worked. We ate, but no Christy.
After finishing our tasty dinner, we took one more toodle around Christy’s and found her at home! Whoo-hoo! I got to see Erika and her friends, too! It was really fun getting to see Christy and Gary again. Everyone talked for hours and caught up. Christy is going to school to be a nurse kind of like Gigi, and she got to give her first vaccinations on Friday! I showed them all my tricks, ate snacks, and played with my butterfly prize from the carnival. After two hours at their house, it was time to head home. I’m sorry I didn’t get to see Kelsie, but I have your picture on my fridge! Hope you had fun at both of your parties last night!
