As a follow-up to the post below about our weekend adventures, here is a short clip of my interpretations of the songs from The Lion King. Let the debate begin about where I inherited my musical talent.

My weekend started early Friday morning when Mommy got me out of bed, dressed, stuffed with hash browns, and off to meet Gigi at Thorntown for a “drop-off.” Because Mommy and Daddy have been super busy tiling the kitchen floor, I got to spend the night at Gigi’s house! I got to visit with Mada and Pada, and pick out two pumpkins from Pada’s pumpkin patch! We went inside and drew faces on them while we had a nice chat. Later, I took a long nap, and got to hang out with Riley and Taylor! They’re getting so big so fast…soon they’re going to want to play with all my super fun toys! I can’t wait!
On Saturday, I got up and dressed again, only this time I got to go to Mee-sa’s soccer game! I’d never been to one before so I took it all in. Then, when we got back to Gigi’s house, I was inspired to kick the ball! (When I play ball with someone I like to say, “We’re good teamers!”) Later, Mee-sa came over to play with me at Gigi and Popa’s house. Gigi had to leave for awhile to do some work, so Popa was in charge. Mee-sa and I watched movies on Gigi’s bed, played with dolls, did puzzles, and sang songs for everyone. I love to play with Mee-sa! When she left, I was a little strung out because in all the excitement of getting to hang out with Mee-sa, I just plain forget to take a nap! Imagine that!
Mommy and Daddy finally showed up after they’d been busy tiling more floor again, and we decided to go eat with Gigi and Popa. Mommy called Aunt Carrie, Uncle Manata, Riley, and Talor and they met us there, too! It was a lot of fun, but it was really hard for me to sit still because I was so tired. After a quick stop at the mall so Mommy could buy jeans for her camping trip, we finally headed home and straight to bed.
This morning, Mommy and Daddy got me up early again, but this time we met Pepa in Crawfordsville! We hopped in his truck and away we went to McCormick’s Creek State Park! I got to watch Lion King all the way there with Pepa’s headphones on. I guess no one else in the car wanted to hear my movie, but I’m sure I impressed them with my sing-a-longs!
When Mommy and Daddy told me we were going to a park I was excited, but I guess their definition and mine differed a little…I didn’t see any swings or slides anywhere! But, there was a lot of walking involved. Mommy wanted to practice her trail before she fearfully…I mean fearlessly lead 46 kids and 27 adults into the great unknown. We went up hills, down hills, over creeks, through creeks, “fuated” in the woods for a pee-pee break, took time-out for a juice box break, over fallen trees, down a bunch of stairs, and up a whole lot more stairs. Good thing Daddy carried me on his shoulders most of the way. Otherwise, I would have gotten my brand new tennis shoes dirty, and we wouldn’t want that! I had a lot of fun and good thing I was in charge of the map…otherwise we would have gotten lost for sure!
Thanks Gigi, Popa, Mee-sa, and Pepa for making my weekend so much fun! I’ll be your navigator anytime, Pepa!
Here are some pictures of Mommy, Pepa, Daddy, and I at the park.
Stay tuned for some video of me entertaining the rest of the passengers on the ride back!
