We got up and packed in Mommy’s car and headed north so she could hit another baby shower for Riley and Taylor. Daddy and I hung out with Manata for a few minutes before we talked him in to a healthy breakfast at Steak ‘n Shake. After we filled our bellies, we dropped Uncle Manata back off and headed over to see Poppa. He and I played and rolled around for a while before Daddy stepped in and spoiled the fun with naptime. That didn’t last long, though, before Mommy was back and I talked everyone in to hitting the movies for that new penguin show, “March of the Penguins”. With a bucket full of popcorn, a drink on either side of me, and my friend Poppa there to wiggle and chat with, we took in the story about the little black and white birds that live in the snow. Here is a picture of me snuggled in between Daddy and Poppa at the theater:

Move over, guys

After the movie, we hit a few stores (including grabbing a fancy drink at the mall) before heading home. I was cashed out on the way home, so you know that I lived the day to its fullest!

The accident

Last night, Mommy was having some kind of girly party with a bunch of friends at her house so that meant Daddy and I got to have a date night!! Needless to say, it started out pretty rough. Before we ever got through the first stoplight, we had a little accident. Now usually when I talk about accidents, it’s the kind that happen in my Pull-Ups, but this accident was a little different. Daddy and I waited for the light to turn green so that we could go across the street, BUT someone coming from the other direction didn’t stop at his red light. We hit his car; “t-boned” Daddy said. Everyone was fine; Daddy’s car didn’t get hurt too bad, but the other guy’s car wouldn’t even start to get it moved out of the way. Soooo, Daddy called Mommy to come get me while he talked to the policeman. That was okay with me because I got to “help” Mommy get ready for her party. I got to see Ellen and Jennifer from Mommy’s work. I got Jennifer to hop like a frog and Ellen rolled on the floor with me! Suckers!! :) Soon, Daddy came to finish our date.

We went to Ice Cream Paradise to chomp down on some pink ice cream and then off to the fair to play some games! I loved playing the one with real mouse…it was a quarter game that Daddy ended up spending $3.00 on! I had lots of fun watching the rides and games! Before we left, Daddy got me an elephant ear to eat and then we hopped in the car and headed home around 9:00. Wouldn’t you know it, I was on a sugar-high and nowhere near ready for going to bed. Good thing Gigi and Aunt Carrie were still at our house. I got to expend a little of my energy telling them all about my fair adventures!! What a fun date with my Daddy!

P.S.-Even though I went to bed at 9:45, I still got up at 7:00 on the dot! Mommy loved it!

So Mommy had this super great blog typed up and ready to post when she was “timed out.” Now, I don’t really know what that means, but I think I actually saw smoke rolling out of Mommy’s ears!! Maybe she’ll finally learn to “save as draft” as she goes.

Overall, I had a great weekend with Mommy and Daddy. On Saturday, we went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It really held my attention as I scarfed down 1/2 a bag of popcorn. When Mema asked me if I liked the movie, I replied with this statement, “It was weird.” I think I may have a future in being a movie critic!

On Sunday, it was T.C.’s 22nd birthday! Happy Birthday, T.C! Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Mema and Pepa’s house to go swimming. After, we headed to O’Charley’s for a birthday celebration. I was really great when all these people were clapping and singing Happy Birthday to T.C….but who’s this “Chris” guy they were talking about?!? Anyway, he got a special (because I really like saying, “special” these days) cake that he shared with everyone. SIDENOTE: Before going to Lafayette on Sunday, I had a successful peepee in the potty! For all those keeping score, I have about a .005 peepeeing average. Hang in there peepee fans, Hopefully I’ll be out of my slump soon.

This morning I woke Mommy up at 7:45 and had pizza and oranges for breakfast. Why? Because that’s what I wanted. After playing stickers, pretend playing baby worms with my play dough (interesting choice for imaginative play considering I’m petrified of bugs) and painting a masterpiece picture of a cow eating blue grass, it was time for lunch. I had one hot dog, 1/2 can of green beans, 1/2 can of oranges, and a string cheese. I’ve been eating like a MACHINE lately, and Mommy says that I must be growing. She’s funny; I don’t feel any taller. I got to play in the sink for awhile and then it was time for a nap. Overall, A+ day with The Mommy!

The new look

Well, as you can see, the new site is up and running…for the most part. The layout is done and the blogger is integrated in as much as I can tell, but let me know if you run in to any bugs!

There is still a lot to do, like dropping in the new photo gallery and back-filling all of my old posts, photos, and videos. But, I hope you like it and enjoy the new look & speed of the now-professionally-hosted-instead-of-the-old-jalopy-server site!

Like I told Mommy and Daddy in the bathtub…just a minute, I’m really busy. My server is on its last legs and losing power in the big storm didn’t help matters. So, please be patient while Morgan 2.0 is launched!
