Daddy Duty

This morning, Mommy got up and left very early to play with Gigi. They went shopping for fleas at Shipshewana, but ended up with cookies instead. While she was gone, Daddy and I got back to our old morning routine. We got dressed and hung out this morning before he dropped me off at school. Because Mommy was still gone in the afternoon, Daddy picked me up from school. Mrs. Joyce and Miss Rachel said that I was an angel today…one of my best days ever! So, because I was such a good girl, Daddy took me to Ice Cream Paradise to eat some pink (strawberry) ice cream and play on the playground. When we decided that we had enough of the 92 degree weather, we headed back home to the air conditioning and had some macaroni and cheese for dinner, then bath, then bed. Mommy made a special trip upstairs to say goodnight when she got home and I got to tell her about my day.

Just when you thought we were getting back to our calm, boring lives, we stir it up again and hit the town. On Friday, Mommy and I met up with Ganny so I could ride up to Lafayette to Ganny and Poppa’s house. There was a special passenger in Gigi’s car…Meesa! We were very excited to see each other and got right to playing all sorts of girly things. Meesa even gave me a makeover, complete with glitter (Daddy’s favorite!).

The next adventure turned out to be the tastiest one. Ganny and I continued our baking tradition…we made Daddy’s birthday cake. It was chocolate! I think that this is an event you need to see to believe:

As if that weren’t enough excitement, Gigi and Poppa took me up to Indiana Beach on Saturday. I got to play lots of cool games, ride all of the fun rides, and feed the biggest and ugliest fish I’ve ever seen. My favorite game was the squirt gun game. I squirted the fires and made things spin and swirl. Check us out!

Since Mommy doesn’t know how to add any of those cool birthday cake graphics, you’ll have to pretend that there’s a big fatty one right below all these words! Don’t worry, you’ll get the real deal on Saturday night. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!! How’s it feel to be old? He,He!! Love you bunches!
