Zoo

This morning started off with some quality Daddy-Daughter time. We had some Pop Tarts while we watched Cat in the Hat and did some laundry. Then, we got ourselves ready and headed off to the library at about 8:30. Trouble is, the library doesn’t open until 9. So, a quick trip back home to drop in another load of clothes, then off to Bath and Body Work for Mommy’s Mother’s Day present before we headed back to the library. [Don't worry, we aren't ruining a surprise. Daddy can't keep a secret to save his life and already gave Mommy her presents.]

After a nap (and more loads a laundry for Daddy), we cleaned up and packed in the car to head down to the Indy Zoo. Just then, Mommy called to say that she was back in town from the Mini Marathon and just about home. So, we waited to pick her up and were on our way.

With timing so precise that you know Daddy and Manata planned for hours to synchronize, we pulled in to the parking lot at exactly the same time. We wound around the whole place checking out bears, turtles, fish, seahorses, giraffes, rhinos, monkeys, zebras, tigers, and so many other animals that I lost count. I rode the gray elephant on the carousel and waved and shouted to Mommy, Carrie, and Manata every time we swung around.

Daddy and Mommy forgot to bring the camera in, but Daddy took a few shots from his phone. And, here is a link to last year’s visit just for old time’s sake.

After school today, Mommy and Daddy thought it would be fun to make a special stop to play on the slide at the park.

And, Mommy and Daddy just downloaded the pics they took of me the day we went to Clay Terrace (where the pics of me at the fountain came from). They thought I looked super cute in my orange dress, and who am I to disagree?

Here are some pictures from our trip to Indy today. I got to see the fountain at Clay Terrace with Mommy and Daddy!
