Day 4

Another whirlwind day! After we were dressed and ready, we came to the decision that we would all go to the outlet mall together. It was huge, and it had a lot of stores that Mommy wanted to see. I spent most of my time in and out of my stroller, in and out of stores, in and out of the middle of shirt racks or belts, in and out of the ice cream store, and in and out of trouble. All of that activity had me exhausted, and I was cashed out before we got back to the van. We weren’t done, though. We packed up and headed to IKEA next. This store had lots of cool stuff, like beds with a rainbow over it that I called “my bed” and tested out for a while. It also had other stuff that Mommy liked, but most of the time looking at that stuff was spent working myself back towards my bed.

We ate dinner at Daddy’s new favorite restaurant, Sweet Tomato. Then, we rolled back to my room and crashed for the night. Tomorrow’s plans include waking up in time to get in a few laps in the pool before packing it up and heading home. If I don’t get a chance to blog tomorrow, I promise to post my pictures (and movie…just wait until you see this one!) very soon.

Thanks very much to Adam and his Mommy and Daddy for hanging out with us. We had a great time, saw cool stuff, ate good food, and did some really fun things.

Day 3

A quick recap of today’s events…

We woke up this morning and got ready and then headed straight for the van. We headed off to the museum downtown, but it took things a little while to get rollin. First, we headed in the wrong direction for a little while, but got to see a good tour of the town. Then, we missed the underground parking and had to loop around and get it. Finally, the computer system was down at the ticket counter, so it took us about an hour just to get admission. But, once inside, we had a lot of fun looking at all of the cool exhibits. The short list included the doll house, the farm, the baby chicks, the big airplanes, the Body Worlds exhibit full of skeletons and an IMAX movie which was even bigger than our movie theater at home!

After the museum, we headed downtown and ate at The Village, a cool Italian restaurant that had pizza for kids like me! Everyone else had cheese-covered goodness that was surely not on “the plan”. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel for a late night swim!

Day 2

After a squirmy night’s sleep in the bed with Daddy, we woke up and milled around the room for a while before our brunch reservations at 10:00. We met up with Adam and his Mommy and Daddy and strolled over to the hotel restaurant and checked in. It was a very fancy place with lots of forks and 3 glasses! Wow, they had quite a spread! I had pancakes and a few cheese cubes, but everyone else was sampling a little of everything. I think that everyone’s favorite was the chocolate fondue fountain with fresh fruit, pretzels, cake, and marshmallows that you could “robe” in chocolate and gobble right off the stick.

After everyone’s belly was very full, we headed back to the room for a nap and down-time. Mommy and Jennifer snuck out of the rooms at about 2 to get to their day of beauty and massage. When Daddy and I woke up, we visited with Rob and Adam for a few minutes before making our 2nd trip to the pool (the first was yesterday…I blogged too early). They have a huge TV in the pool and we watched Sponge Bob Squarepants while we looked for a pineapple and a Krusty Krab at the bottom of our pool. Back in the room, we took a quick bath and shared our Incredibles movie with Adam and Rob before Mommy and Jennifer got back.

Once everyone was cleaned up and ready to roll, we headed out to dinner. I wasn’t interested in Asian food, but are chopsticks cool, or what?!?

We made it to vacation!

Ganny and Poppa were nice enough to let me stay at their house last night while Daddy and Mommy packed bags for the trip. I got up this morning, and we played some more until Mommy and Daddy showed up with a space-age minivan for us to cruise in. We said good-byes, piled in, and headed off. After about 3 hours, we finally arrived and found our room it is very cool…lots of shapes for me to name (pictures will come soon). We strolled around and found all of the fun stuff…the mini-golf course, the pool, the cave (yup, there is a cave here…you’ll see), and lots of other fun stuff to see and do.

I can’t wait to break this place in!
