Today was my last day at my school, The Learning Tree. Daddy came to pick me up just before we were about to go outside and I was kinda bummed because I was looking forward to pushing some more mulch down my cast
. When we pulled out, he started talking about going to a NEW school. Ha, we just drove away from my school…silly Daddy. But, whadda ya know, we pulled right in to WeKare, my new school.
When we first went in I was a little apprehensive. We went down to my new room, but I wasn’t really interested and kept pointing and asking for the door. Daddy wasn’t getting the hint, so I started to ask a little louder. He just kept talking to the teachers and asking questions. Just as I was about to go in to squirm mode, the teachers gathered up all of the other kids and Daddy and I followed them to the dining room. They all sat down at their table and the teachers started handing out juice and chips. When I saw that action, my attention seemed to switch. I first asked for juice, then latched on to a bowl of chips, and Daddy and I eventually ended up sitting with the kids for snack time! I was telling the other kids to sit down and helping them “arrange” their chips…I was fitting right in! After snack, we all went back to the room to play with some toys and watch some Dora before Daddy and I split for home. My new school seems like a pretty cool place…I’ll let y’all know how it pans out.
Last night, our friends Jennifer and Rob had a baby boy named Adam Byrne. I wanted to say “Welcome” to Adam and congratulations to his parents. I can’t wait to show him the ropes and teach him how to do all of the cool baby things…HAZ-MAT Level 3 poops, spitting up on Mommy’s favorite shirt, and sneezing with carrots in his mouth!
On Friday, Daddy picked me up right after lunch, but we were having meatloaf at school, so I downed a slice and a half of pizza as soon as we got home. That made me pretty sleepy, so I hit the sack until about 3. When I woke up, we got cleaned up and hit the road. First stop was Aunt Carrie’s house for a little Monsters, Inc. and toys. Then, we checked out the pink horsie, the brown horsie, and the purple dinosaur at Meijer. That’s when we got the call from Mommy to meet her at O’Charley’s. We jumped in the car just as the clouds opened up. Rain! I made it a point to tell Daddy it was raining the whole drive to dinner.
When we got to O’Charley’s, we saw Mema, Pepa, and TC leaving as we were coming in. I was worried that TC ate all of the french fries they had, but it turns out he left some for me.
After dinner, I was barely awake for the drive home. I snoozed until about 7:30 and we headed straight to Wal-Mart. Lunch, nap, then a big surprise! Poppa was there waiting for me when I got up! We played, ate, went for a walk, and had fun while Mommy and Daddy were at a wedding.
Here is the big kicker…Poppa wore me out sooooo much that I got up at 9 this morning! That is a new record! Mommy and Daddy seemed pretty pleased about that and we’re going out today to get a treat!
My day started off pretty normal. Daddy took me to school(I cried)and Mommy picked me up(I cried)…at noon! When Mommy got there, I was pretty happy to see her. It was supposed to be nap time, but I didn’t want to, so I was crying for Daddy to come and get me. Perfect timing, Mommy! Mommy drove over to Wendy’s to pick-up some fries and then we headed for home so that I could take a short nap. When I woke up, I was still kinda’ out of it, but I soon realized that Aunt Carrie was here to see me! She helped Mommy give me a bath, dress me, and do my hair. Before I knew it, we were all in the car and off to my appointment. As soon as we got there, Plopper and I got our picture taken by a really big camera. I said, “cheese,” but I didn’t see any kind of camera flash. Next it was on to see my doctor. He looked at the pictures of Plopper and me and said that my leg bone was healing really well and that I was going to get my purple owie taken off in three weeks. I have to say that the pictures were not very flattering of Plopper or me…in fact I couldn’t even tell what the pictures were of. They were black and white and the doctor had to look at them with a light on behind them! What’s that all about?
When I got home, Poppa was there to see me! AND not too long after, Uncle Malala…. walked in the door!! Wow, I have a big fan club!!
Anyway, I just wanted to make a note that I really kept Aunt Carrie and Mommy on their toes in the waiting rooms!! Way to go, guys! Thanks to Aunt Carrie for coming with us and playing with me today! See you tomorrow afternoon!
