I decided it would be a good idea to get the weekend off to a bright and early start…6:15!! Come on…I didn’t want to miss the riveting Stanley episode about flying squirrels on the Disney Channel. After finding out about the squirrels’ hidden flaps of skin (yuck) it was time to head to Lafayette to toodle around the mall and have a fancy drink. No nap. Then we went to Target to get Daddy a book, some shelves for Mommy’s classroom, and two new DVDs for me. No nap. Next was on to Ganny and Poppa’s house to try and take a nap. No nap. Mommy had to go to a party so that left Daddy, Ganny, Poppa and me to play. No nap. After awhile we loaded up and went to Chickfillet to play…for an hour and a half. I got to see Aunt Hillie and Bob there. Back to Ganny’s for a nap. No nap. Later, Mommy and Daddy went out to eat and Ganny, Poppa, and I had bathtime and storytime in my new jammies. No bedtime. Short stroller ride around the neighborhood, and a 40 minute drive home later, I FINALLY gave in to going to sleep around 8:10 once we got back home to Lebanon. So if you add up all the no naps that equals….NO NAPS TODAY!!! I love you Mommy and Daddy…hope we can do it again real soon. For those of you that might run in to Mommy and/or Daddy anytime soon, don’t comment about the bags and dark circles under their eyes, they’re kinda’ touchy about them!
Its been a busy week already! Mommy is gearing up for a whole new group of kids and we’re starting back in to the school-time routine. That means up at 6:30 (which is my usual Saturday time), dressed, breakfast, and out the door at 7. Our drive is a little longer than it was last year, but Elmo and Blue help me pass the time.
I’m going to Amanda’s during the day this year, and it is a girl-fest! Between me, Amanda, Abby, Alyx, and an occasional Hanna, we’re all about Girl Power.
This morning, I was feeling a rumble in my tummy. I went over and told Mommy and Daddy, “Poop.” They rushed me over to my potty chair in my bathroom and I pooped in the potty! I thought it was stinky, but Mommy and Daddy were very happy and thought my poop was cool! I got to say “bye-bye” to my poop and flush it down the big potty like a big girl.
On a less stinky note (excluding Uncle Manates), thank you to Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manannaaa (phonetically spelled) for taking such good care of me while Mommy and Daddy went out to celebrate their anniversary. I had lots of fun eating french fries and taking a bath. You guys are the best, and you can come and play with me any day. Maybe next time I can show you my new poop trick!! It’s fun to be had by all!
After helping Mommy water and weed her gardens, it was time to clean-up, clean-up. Before bathtime, Mommy managed to snap some incriminating photos.
I’ve got bad things coming out of every end, I don’t want to eat or drink, and I just like to snuggle on Mommy all day (well, I like to do that anyway). Being sick is no fun.
