Well, school is getting better. When Daddy dropped me off today, I had Plopper, so I only cried for a few minutes and then everything was OK.
But, this wasn’t any normal school day. Just before lunch, Ganny showed up to check out my school! I showed her around and introduced her to my teachers before we headed to get some french fries. Then, we hit the usual spots and picked up a new Elmo car because I’ve been such a good girl.
Today was the first day at my new school. When I got there, I met Savannah and Skyler. They were eating breakfast, but since I’d had yogurt and waffles, I wasn’t too interested. Instead, I was checking out the books and playing with the toys. The morning went OK as I was getting used to everything there. I got to have a morning snack, played some more, and then ate lunch (pizza, corn, and apples). Next was nap time, but I had never slept there before, so I had other ideas. The teacher and I colored and read books instead. Once all of the other kids got up, it was more playtime and afternoon snack before Mommy came to take me home. All that playing, exploring new things, and no nap made me a tired baby. I had a special dinner because I was so good today (french fries!), then bath and bed. I didn’t even whimper because I know I’ll need my rest for another big day at school tomorrow.
To celebrate my first day going so well, here are some pictures of me from this weekend in my cool shades.
Thanks very much to Ganny and Poppa for coming down today to play with me while Mommy and Daddy went to the “Rekindling the Romance” conference. I’m not sure what that is, but it doesn’t sound near as much fun as my new shopping cart!
Anyway, you’ve got to hear this new jammy-jam from Elmo. This thing is going to be top of the charts! Here is some pre-release video footage (Small – Large).
Mommy was so jealous of Daddy and me spending time together that today she stayed at home with me! I still have a crusty nose, but I’ve been a very good girl so far today. BUT now Mommy has boogers, snot, coughs, sneezes, and moans. Poor Mommy! I hope she feels better soon so we can go outside to water the flowers tonight. I love watering Mommy’s flowers! We’ll let ya’ know how our day goes if anything exciting happens!
I’m still a little sick, so Mommy and Daddy thought it would be best if I stayed home today and rested. I got up at regular time (6:00…you see, I could have slept in as long as I wanted, so that triggers the “6 am” response). I had breakfast with Daddy and saw Mommy off to work. Daddy and I caught up on Stanley and the Wiggles before I took a nice long bath. That’s where I learned my new word for the day…”boogers”! Daddy was wiping my crusty nose and decided that we needed to say that word over and over again…we both laughed at my “boogers”!
I went down for the best nap in a long time and woke up asking, “Eat. Eat. Eat.” Daddy packed us up and we headed out to “star” (Hardee’s). I had french fries and chicken and Daddy had a hamburger as big as Kitty. A quick stop at the park, then back home to check out my new Elmo movie. I’m all rested and feeling much better…thanks to everyone who sent well-wishes!
