Mommy, Ganny, and Grandma French were trying to sell the garage this weekend. I don’t know how good they did, but at least it motivated them to get rid of all that junk that was cluttering up the garage.
Happy Anniversary to Grandma and Grandpa French. Thanks to everyone for playing with me and helping me out when I was tired and grumpy. It was a big day and I had a lot of fun, but I was definitely worn out!
I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m really tired of all this rain cutting my outdoor playtime short! However, on Monday Mommy took me up to Grandma Macy’s house to go swimming in her pool. I had so much that I didn’t stop talking the whole time I was in there! I even jumped off the ladder! When T.C. came home from work, he went swimming with me, too. He sure does have some funny tan lines from working outside everyday! While I was swimming for the second time that day, Daddy called and told Mommy he got a flat tire on the busy road. Oh no! Needless to say, Daddy wasn’t in a very good mood that night.
On Tuesday, Mommy and I went to see Poppa at work. This time I wasn’t in a very good mood when I saw Poppa. Sorry Poppa. We didn’t end up getting Daddy’s new tires. We went home and I took a 3 hour nap. Mommy was very happy about that for some reason.
On Wednesday, Mommy and I got tires put on Daddy’s car…finally. I also got to go swimming again at Grandma Macy’s house in between the rain drops.
Today it looks like we’re just going to chill at home. I helped Mommy get some things ready for the garage sale this weekend. If I know my Mommy, we’ll probably make a trip to Walmart just to get out of the house for a few minutes later on. Hope everyone is having a good week!
Well, I had a special visitor yesterday, but it wasn’t my usual friend. Ganny sent her trusty replacement, Poppa! It was rainy and very hot outside, so we didn’t get to go for any walks or play in the yard. But, we did go to Wal Mart and Burger King, so you can’t beat that! Also, I got a special present in my turtle purse. Now I have two dollars! Mommy and Daddy said something about a college fund, but I’m going to buy a turtle and an elephant and a puppy!
A couple of new photo albums:
Welcome back, Ganny and Poppa (a.k.a., Snow Birds in Training)! I hope that you had a fun time in Florida. We missed you a lot.
I can’t wait to see you again so you can see how much I’ve grown. I’m about a foot and a half taller, I can tie my shoes and ride a bike! Ok, not really. I may have picked up a few new words and have a few new bumps and bruises, but I have been a very, very good girl (hint, hint).
Today’s fun filled adventures started with a quick trip to the Harney School playground. There was a boy there that had a really cool bike that I really wanted to play with. He let me check it out for awhile, but then Mommy said it was time to go home to play with MY bike that I got from Santa last year. Frankly, it wasn’t nearly as much fun as the boy’s bike…his had a bell.
After a quick nap, I awoke to Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata at my door with food and a good girl treat for me…a new shirt with an “M” on it. My name starts with an “M”, then “o”, “a”, “yo-yo”. Uncle Manata, Mommy, and Daddy started going nuts preparing food while Aunt Carrie and I checked out the Turtle video. I held her hand during the scary parts.
Then MORE people showed up! Rob and Jennifer came to see how big I’ve gotten, all the words I can say, and to check out my big red slide. We all had hamburgers, steaks, chicken, and fish out on the grill. Uncle Manata did a good job grilling, but I felt sorry for him because Daddy’s grill couldn’t have been nearly as fun as mine…mine talks and moves!
The fun didn’t stop after I finished playing and had another nap. We headed over to Ice Cream Paradise for ice cream and an some crazy fun at the playground. Finally, it was back home for a bath and bedtime (at 8:00…a new record!).
