Today I am 1 1/2 years old. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t think that Mommy and Daddy would make it. They’re tough, though, and I’m sure that they have what it takes to get me to 2.
On Saturday night, Mommy and Daddy had to go to a meeting in Indianapolis, so Grandma and Grandma Macy came down to play with me! However, before Mommy and Daddy left and while I was showing off a little because we had company at our house, I managed to incur my very first fat lip. I was running up to Daddy to tell him how much I love him and I wasn’t looking AT ALL as to where I was going and I ran right into the corner of the dining room table. There was some blood and tears, but I did manage to learn a new word…”Owie.” After Mommy and Daddy left, I watched and waved to Grandpa while he mowed the yard for Mommy and Daddy. That made them very happy today for some reason. I ate my dinner and was off to bed, but not before Grandpa made some comment about my PJ’s being too sparkly to try to sleep in and compared them to Liberace…who ever that is.
Today we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa French. When we got there, I had a super surprise…a new turtle!! How did Grandma know that I love turtles?!? Thank you Grandma and Sarge! While I was there, I said “Hi” to their new tomato plants and made sure to spread bird seed all over the ground for the doves. That pretty much concludes my surprise and fun filled weekend! Hope everyone has a great week and seen you soon! Hugs and kisses!!
When I rolled out of bed this morning and headed downstairs with Daddy, there was a special friend waiting for me…Marissa (Mee-sa)! Ganny brought her down to play with me all day! We had a lot of fun in the bathtub playing like I was in a spa and Marissa was giving me the best treatments on my hair. We went to Burger King for lunch and we spent a lot of time at the Library running, playing, and picking out books. I was pretty worn out and slept like a rock. Thanks, Ganny and Mee-sa, for the fun day!
Fans of Tommy Boy will appreciate this one. Check out my short, but very funny, video clip: Small – Large
In all of the hustle and bustle today, it was hard for me to break away to post in my diary. But, I wanted to make sure that all of the Mommies (Mommy and all of the Grandmas) know how much I appreciate and love them. Happy Mother’s Day!
Also, today is Uncle Manata’s birthday. I think that I’m going to give him a binky or a stuffed animal, I haven’t decided which yet. Or, maybe I’ll get him an extra copy of Nemo for when I wear his out. Happy Birthday Uncle Manata!
