Just to let everyone know…I have been diagnosed with my very first case of Poison Ivy!! It’s on my left hand and a little on my right arm. Mommy and Daddy are pretty sure I got it before we went on vacation. I think it may have happened when I was picking dandelions in the yard last week. It’s not really bothering me right now, and it’s sure not keeping me from wanting to run and play outside!

We’re back at the ranch today and Daddy has uploaded our Columbus Vacation pictures. There are a few video clips in progress, so check back tomorrow.

Be sure to read up on all of our adventures! Scroll down to see what we did the last few days!

Be sure to read today’s Vacation notes below, but I wanted to make sure my faithful readers knew a few things that make today special. First, today is Ganny’s birthday. She said that she is 29 years old, but I don’t think she looks a day over 28. Happy birthday Ganny!

Also, today marks the 1 year anniversary of my website! In the past year, I’ve really enjoyed sharing all that I’ve been doing, saying, eating, and playing as well as who I’m doing all of those things with. Thanks for reading!

I know that you’re all dying for a recap of today’s events, so I’ll get right to it. We woke up at 7 and hit Denny’s right away. I had a Jr. Grand Slam, in case you were wondering. Then, we headed back over to the hotel and hit the pool for a while. We had it all to ourselves, so I could crank up the extra kicking and splashing.

After a failed nap attempt (hey, I’m busy guys), we hit the Columbus Commons (mall) to play on the indoor playground. I had fun and made some friends, but most of the equipment was for bigger girls so I stuck to the little slide. We had a quick hooooottttt dooooogggg and walked across the street to Zaharako?s for some ice cream. Back in Mommy’s big ol’ truck and I finally gave in to that nap idea. I slept all the way to Nashville.

When I woke up, we were on our way into Brown County State park. We wound through the trees and found the Nature Center. I was pretty scared of all the animals at first, but once I warmed up I just kept running around the place from exhibit to exhibit. “Turtle, owl, ooohhhh, wow, turtle.” Next up was a short nature hike. We made it down a lot of steps to a small stone bridge. Mommy and Daddy rested while I picked up sticks and stomped on leaves. We huffed and puffed back up the hill and stopped in at the Abe Martin Lodge for a bathroom break and a lap around the track on a Nascar video game with Mommy. Daddy mumbled something about “women drivers” and packed us in the car for the next leg of the adventure.

Next, we headed in to Nashville to cruise through the old shops. We strolled up and down the streets and stopped in at a few places as we finished off the afternoon.

Back at the hotel, Daddy and I jumped in the pool again for a quick dip before dinner. Mommy stayed on the sidelines this time and snapped pictures and movies of us playing. We came back up to the room, had a bath, and then it was time for pizza! I ate like a champ and then crashed after my big, big, big day.

Whew…what a day! This has to be a record for one of the longest posts. I’m going to need a vacation from my vacation.
