When I woke up on Friday morning, I was looking forward to Ganny Day. When Daddy loaded me up in the car, I thought he was nuts…Ganny is supposed to come to our house. But, Mommy drove me a little way to meet up with Ganny and we went back up to Lafayette to spend the day there. We had a fun day together that was capped off by a visit from Aunt Carrie and Uncle Manata. Finally, Mommy and Daddy got up to Lafayette right around my bedtime, and by the time Saturday morning rolled around, I figured out why we were staying up there.

I woke up Saturday, had breakfast, and then we loaded up in the car for a BIG road trip. I slept a little of the way, but they don’t understand what a big chunk of your life 3 hours is when you’ve only be around for 16 months. Anyway, it was worth it because we got to spend the day with Patrick. His mommy and daddy were very nice about me playing with his toys and sitting on anyone or anything that was under my butt. After I let everyone in Chicago (or, at least Chili’s) know how good my lungs and vocal cords work, we headed back for a quick nap and then off to the Walsh’s. THEY HAD A TURTLE! I really like animals, but you don’t know how excited I get when I see an animal that I can say the name of…over and over and over again! Another loooong drive home that night (whoever had 4 1/2 minutes until I was snoring wins the pool) and we were back at home.

But, hey, what weekend, or weekday for that matter, would be complete without ANOTHER car trip. We packed up this morning and headed back to Lafayette to see Grandpa. He got a new hip, so I wanted to come up and see how “hip” he really is. He gave me his balloon, so he’s pretty hip in my book.

Okay, so I found out that kitty food isn’t nearly as delicious as I had thought it might be. In fact, it was down right gross!! I know what you’re thinking…where’s my mommy and daddy when all this is taking place?!? Well, if you didn’t already know, I am pretty speedy and stealth-like when it comes to getting something I want…especially when it’s something I’m not supposed to have. But I did get to have a banana after Mommy and Daddy cleaned out my mouth. I didn’t like having their fingers in my mouth digging around for kitty food, but that’s the price you pay when you’re an extreme taste tester like me!

Bananna

Remember when Daddy used to call me Monkey Hair? Well, there might be more truth to that than we originally thought. Check out the Bananna pictures and movie (SmallLarge)!

Hi everybody. It’s been pretty much a par-for-the-course kind of week. I’ve been waking up a little early, though. We’re trying out a differnt sleep schedule. I’ve only been wanting to take 1 nap a day instead of 2 (I hear that is what big girls do).

Happy Birthday Mommy! You’re the prettiest, bestest Mommy that I know. I would bake you a cake, but I’m not allowed to use the oven. So, maybe I’ll just bake you a brownie!

Welcome home Grandma and Grandpa French! We brought them home to their new house (1007 Hornbeam…Grandpa taught me the address). I think that they liked it a lot and will feel right at home there. Also, it is right down the road from Ganny and Poppa’s, so I’m sure we’ll be over to visit when we make our way up to Lafayette!

I want to say thanks to Peanut and her Mommy and Daddy for letting me come over and play on Saturday. We had a lot of fun and I like learning new things from big girls.
